I grew up around heavy equipment, as my folks owned and operated a paving company called Portable Pavers, and with that came a strong working knowledge about mechanics.  This experience carried through to now, and the knowledge I gained impacts what I do on a daily business.

My Father Harold was both a brilliant mechanic as well as an astute businessman. He and his brothers were all exceptionally good mechanics.  His brother Robert was a renowned body man, and one of last to use lead. Together they rebuilt an impressive fleet of classic old cars.

 

Harold raced cars when he was younger, with his brothers by his side.  “Guts” Gierke was his nickname. He was the hardest working man I have ever known, and it was a privilege to learn from him.  

 

Last year I started to formulate an idea, and Gerk’s Garage came to be a reality. Gerk’s “portable” garage is an homage to him, my Father.

  

With over 17 years in the automotive and recreational vehicle industry, I have acquired a broad span of knowledge that only comes from experience. I look forward to solving any problems you have with your vehicles.
